Top 3 Tips to Avoid Smeared/Smudged Eye Makeup

There are many reasons eye makeup can run, smear ,or smudge unintentionally  & it can be from:
  • Humidity
  • Tears
  • Sweat
  • Oily Skin
Whatever the reason eye makeup that Smears and Smudges throughout the day doesn't have to be your norm...

Read these top 3 tips from our
makeup artists and put your
best face forward TODAY!

1. Always begin EVERY makeup application with FRESHLY cleansed skin.  Cleanse your face in the morning, be sure to pay attention to your lids, so you cleanse away excess oils from the night before.

2. Apply an eye primer. After your skin is effectively cleansed and properly moisturized (avoid putting eye cream directly on your lids), apply a primer specifically made for your eyes.

One of our FAVS:  Mirabella Prime not only will it prep your eye lids but also prolong the wearability of the rest of your makeup. A small amount applied to the rest of the skin allows makeup to apply smoothly and stay in place.

If OIL is shinning through and the main culprit in your eye makeup misery, a bigger gun in your makeup arsenal might be necessary! Bioelements has your back, or in this case your face :)... Oil Control Mattifier is what the doctor ordered! Just a tab on your eyelids before you apply powder can aid in the victory over smeary eye makeup! Apply all over for full facial oil control!!

3. "Set" your look. Even before you apply your first eyeshadow "set your Eye Make up" by covering your entire eye lid with your face powder. This will give you a dry base to work with, and you'll find your eye shadow(s) will blend in much easier.

If you use creamy textures or pencils, set them with matching eye-shadow powders- to really fortify your look use  TIGI Liquid Enhancer. This amazing product makes your powdered shadow:
  • Practically waterproof
  • Will make power eyeshadow into liquid liner
  • Fights humidity!
BE AWARE this WILL intensify your shadow and where you place your brush is where the shadow WILL stay!

Once you have your eye makeup complete,
set everything with a
final dusting of Face powder.
