#1: Hair Color…. The Finishing Touch to Every Haircut

Hair Color…. The Finishing Touch to Every Haircut

Want to look younger in an instant? Proctor and Gamble did a study with 1,800 European women and asked them what they believed the biggest signs of aging hair were. More than half mentioned gray hair as the main factor! So if you want to look younger, the most potent thing you can do is color your hair.

In today’s world, hair color is not only used to mask gray – it reflects personality, moods, lifestyle and fashion.

Color can add
  • Individuality,
  • Versatility
  • Strength by creating texture, shine and definition.
  • Color contributes lightness, depth, dimension, and tone.

There are many techniques a properly trained hair colorist can perform on an individual, and most are determined by the cut, desired look, and the skin tone of the guest.

Some of you may have tried to color your own or someone else’s hair in the past, or you are doing color on yourself now. Ever wonder why the color does not come out like the color on the box you purchased?

A great hair colorist knows!

What makes a great hair colorist? Education and lots of it! Color fashion changes by the season and colorists have to be current with their education to stay with the trends and techniques.
