The GENTLE & INFLUENTIAL Nudge that can SAVE LIVES!!!

Along with Heart issues, Prostate cancer is at the top of life threatening illness to men. YET Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers WHEN CAUGHT in the earlier stages. That was not the case for my step dad and right now he is fighting for his life. Early detection is the one of the best weapons we have against this horrible disease!!

  

In honor of  my step dad along with other brave men fighting for their health... During the Month of June we are going to dedicate Mondays to the MEN in our LIVES!!

Dads, Sons, Brothers, & Husbands,

And their health is VERY important to us- YET many times  getting them to take care of themselves is like trying to "pull teeth"!

BUT will FREQUENTLY  

neglect their own health believing 

"they can fix whatever is wrong". 

In fact a 2007 survey taken by the AAFP declared that 65% of the men that participated in the survey had Not seen their primary physician in over 12 MONTHS. Combine those staggering statistics with a 2009 report by the CDC that disclosed US women are 80% more likely to have a regular source of health care than men.

The hard reality often is how to convince that special man that taking care of his health isn’t   something to brush off. 

THE GOOD NEWS is: 

"A survey taken by the AAFP revealed 

that 78% of respondents said their loved ones have significant INFLUENCE over their DECISION TO GO THE DOCTOR!!! "
